Tomorrow on Hoopstalk

February 8th, 2011

Tomorrow's Hoopstalk show promises to be a good one. Guests include ESPN analyst Jay Bilas, former head coach at South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Wichita State, Eddie Fogler, and our own Athletic Director, Jim Donovan.

Its at 6 pm on ESPN 1420.

La Tech loss at New Mexico State last night gives UH a little more breathing room. Every team has five games left. Fresno has two road games this week and Nevada goes to San Jose before coming here Monday night. La Tech has New Mexico at home.

The only teams with a winning road record in conference are Utah State and Idaho. The teams with losing home records in conference are Boise, Hawaii, San Jose, and La Tech.  The longest winning streak after Utah Sate is 2 ( Fresno). What all this means is that it is going to be a very interesting last three weeks of the season as teams jockey for position ( remember the first four teams get at least a single bye).

You might want to ask Mr. Donovan about the Idaho coach disrespecting our Coach Dias. I don't think any woman or man would appreciate another person waving their finger at you at any time. This was a classless act by a cry baby coach. The coach from Idaho was fortunate that his finger wasn't broken. This coach owes an apology to Coach Dias for his abusive, demeaning and sexist behavior during the handshake. Tell me would you appreciate it if you were on the other side of the finger waving from another person trying to scold you in making a point.

Coach Newlee, definitely did not learn that behavior from Coach Goo. Bad behavior in the eye of the Television camera, Coach Dana should have a body guard. If the Idaho player, did not have her knee injuried, the Coach would not have cried. It was a clean play. Sad, to see the replay of the FINGER WAGGING, it sure spoiled Coach Dana's happiness, maybe his behavior is just the tip of the iceberg, and reasons for the Idaho twin, to leave the Idaho team.???
